Further explores the topic of Web Design by introducing content management systems (Wordpress, Joomla, etc.), server and client-side scripting, frameworks, and the implementation of HTML5/CSS3 in modern web design. Explores the concepts associated with designing web pages for a variety of display devices.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Integrate a content management system solution for a web site.
- Develop custom/branded themes for content management systems.
- Use basic server and client-side scripting to achieve specific site goals.
- Effectively incorporate framework solutions into web designs for specific visual/functional requirements.
- Implement HTML5/CSS3 technologies into the design of a website.
- Use basic programming skills to adapt web designs to a variety of display devices.
