Provides intermediate instruction with vector-based software for creating illustrations, technical, drawing, logos, signage, maps, and graphs. Emphasis is on preparing effective, creative, pictorial illustrations for various media applications in an efficient, productive manner. Produces samples for student portfolios.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Define resolution independence.
- Create multiple illustrations demonstrating various styles using vector-based software tools.
- Digitize hand-rendered illustrations.
- Explore drawing techniques using a stylist & tablet.
- Employ type in an illustrative way
