VISC 280 - Co-op/Internship PREREQUISITES: Advisor’s Approval PROGRAM: Visual Communications CREDIT HOURS: 1-6 TOTAL CONTACT HOURS: 5-15 DATE OF LAST REVISION: Fall 2020
Gives students the opportunity to work remotely or onsite with a company or not-for-profit that is specifically related to their career objectives. Provides on-the- job experience while earning credit toward an associate degree.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Function effectively within a design-related setting, working with the management and employees and exhibiting good work habits.
- Recognize confidentiality, dress codes and behaviors appropriate to the work setting.
- Collect and analyze data and work experience within the student’s occupational specialty.
