CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Prepares students to use Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) including basic network and cloud configurations for operating these systems, the underlying databases that the systems maintain, and the cybersecurity concepts that must be understood to secure the information. Provides an overview of other technologies that are relevant to Supply Chain Management. This course incorporates mandatory certification assessment for Microsoft Dynamics ERP.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Explain and delineate the roles of ERP systems in supply chain businesses.
  2. Explain the role of Customer Relationship Management in Supply Chain Management.
  3. Perform vendor set-up and create purchase orders.
  4. Explain the types of inventory how they relate to workflow.
  5. Explain how Human Resources and General Ledger components of ERP and WMS relate to production functions.
  6. Explain the role of Electronic Data Interchange and Advance Shipping Notices in Supply Chain Management.
  7. Describe the elements of a relational database, blockchain, and big data.
