This advanced course is for students with launched businesses. Students will learn the key financial, operational, and strategic considerations essential for sustaining and scaling a successful business. Learners will explore methods of business valuation to assess worth and investment potential while applying asset management and capital structure principles to enhance long-term financial health. The course emphasizes practical applications in business accounting, taxation, and payroll compliance. Students will also develop strategies for effective human resource recruitment and management to support organizational growth. Participants will synthesize their knowledge into a comprehensive growth and development action plan that positions their enterprise for continued success.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be expected to:

  1. Integrate strategies for effective human resource recruitment and management that support organizational growth and sustainability.
  2. Outline the withholding, payment, and filing requirements for payroll taxes.
  3. Assess which income tax returns apply to the business at the federal, state, and local levels.
  4. Evaluate strategies for financing the business to determine the most effective capital structure and funding options.
  5. Build the organizational structure and personnel functions to support operational efficiency and business goals.
  6. Create a comprehensive operations handbook for the launched business.
