This course is the culminating experience for students earning the degree in Healthcare Specialist. Prepares the student for entry into the field of healthcare focusing on team participation. Reviews the procedures for conducting a job search, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, and follow-up communications. Reviews procedures for ethical and productive job performance. Provides participation in college-wide outcomes measurement.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Develop job attainment skills and resources.
- Identify and articulate the continuing education requirements for each professional certifications earned.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and communication techniques to interact effectively as part of the team within Healthcare settings.
- Develop a portfolio designed to showcase student skills and expereince in Healthcare.
