This course explores the historical and contemporary treatment models for substance abuse, examining the underlying theories that shape each approach. It emphasizes not only building theoretical knowledge but also applying counseling theories and techniques to real-world addiction treatment scenarios. Course meets some of the academic requirements toward state addictions licensure and may meet the educational requirements from other industry certifications.
