Presents an overview of how to correctly maintain and operate chemical application equipment.Best practices for the utilization of applicator equipment will be studied and implemented.  This course prepares students for pesticide and fertilizer applicationcontrol testing.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Prepare for the commercial pesticide applicator license titled Category 1.
  2. Prepare for the commercial fertilizer applicator license titled Category 14.
  3. Utilize best practices for field navigation during chemical application
  4. Demonstrate the ability to correctly operate chemical application equipment.
  5. Identify major systems & components of application equipment.
  6. Demonstrate ability to perform clean out procedures for spray application equipment.
  7. Review Global Positioning Systems and usage on chemical application equipment.
