This course presents electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic control of harvesting and seed application processes. Introduces the student to precision monitoring systems used in both planting and harvesting processes.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Demonstrate the use and functionality of mechanical systems found on planting and harvesting systems.
- Anaylze the use and functionality of hydraulic systems found on planting and harvesting systems.
- Review the use and functionality of electrical systems found on planting and harvesting systems.
- Demonstrate operational methods of a planting monitor system.
- Operate a yield monitoring system.
- Determine the use and functionality of variable rate technology on planting systems.
