TRCK 260 - Applied Hydraulic Systems PREREQUISITES: INDT 104 CREDIT HOURS MIN: 3 CREDIT HOURS MAX: 3 LECTURE HOURS MIN: 2 LECTURE HOURS MAX: 2 LAB HOURS MIN: 2 LAB HOURS MAX: 2 This course introduces students to mobile fluid power circuits specifically found on heavy equipment. The student will be required to understand, analyze and troubleshoot heavy equipment hydraulic circuits; utilizing the tools and practices found within the industry. This includes but not limited to practices of; using a hydraulic flow meter to troubleshoot, rebuilding system components, studying pump performance and diagnosing electrical issues in mobile hydraulic systems. The student will also study the utilization of automation within a mobile hydraulic system.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Interpret and research vehicle service information, including vehicle service history, service precautions, fluid type, and technical service bulletins

Check fluid level and condition; Collect hydraulic fluid samples for analysis; determine needed action.

Troubleshoot mobile hydraulic systems utilizing diagnostic practices found in heavy equipment industry.
