LOGM 205 - Advanced Quality Management

The Advanced Quality Management course focuses on how process efficiency can be improved and how processes can be designed to deliver customer or client quality. This course prepares professionals to recognize process improvement opportunities and to design quality control programs that rely on standard Lean Six Sigma statistical methods to ensure that processes deliver sustainable results.

Students have the opportunity to earn Green Belt Certification which is globally recognized.
 

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of the philosophical and historical development of Lean and Six Sigma quality management concepts.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to define, develop, and illustrate the disciplines of value stream mapping.
  3. Perform various statistical analyses of process performance.
  4. Identify the sources and types of waste-streams in a process as well as throughout the supply chain.
  5. Use statistical techniques to evaluate and improve process performance.
  6. Define and methodologies required to achieve and maintain continuous improvement.
  7. Use hypothesis testing to test quality improvement ideas.
  8. Develop concepts and processes that allow supply chains the ability to remain competitive in global markets.
