ENGT 278 - Engr Tech Project Design PREREQUISITES: Program Advisor Approval. CREDIT HOURS MIN: 1 LECTURE HOURS MIN: 1 TOTAL CONTACT HOURS MIN: 16 This course reviews the design process through the planning, design and documentation of an engineering project. Starting with the conception of a project, students will apply their current knowledge in engineering technology theory and build their understanding to complete the project.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1) Review the Project Design Process
2) Perform the engineering design process in an engineering technology project
3) Integrate concepts in engineering technology theory with the applications needed to create a project
4) Analyze cost and timing estimations to help validate design and end use
5) Generate a written report and verbal presentation to communicate the project to colleagues
