In this course, students develop advanced diagnostic, service, and repair skills expected of professional technicians in GM franchise dealerships. Emphasis is placed on the proficient use of sophisticated electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment, as well as GM-specific tools, to troubleshoot, service, and repair modern drivability and safety systems on GM passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks. Students also complete required modules in GM’s Center of Learning (service technician online training) and finish the course by sitting for the ASE L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, L2 Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist, and L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist certification exams.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
