TTEN 100 - Introduction to the Toyota T-Ten Program

During this course students will be introduced to the Toyota T-TEN program expectations and Toyota and/or Lexus online service and programming systems that are used by Toyota and/or Lexus Dealership Technicians. The course gives an overview of the operating and general maintenance of modern Toyota and/or Lexus passenger vehicles and light duty trucks. Students will be introduced to the safe operation of the equipment and tools used in Toyota and/or Lexus Dealerships’ service facilities. Students will study the maintenance and light repair of modern Toyota passenger vehicles and light duty trucks. In addition, during this course students will begin their Toyota OEM training and begin their preparation for the nationally recognized ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification exams.   

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Identify proper shop safety practices while in the labs.

  1. Describe tools & fasteners used in automotive repair.

  1. Explain how the automotive repair industry is structured.

  1. Evaluate the operation of the 8 major systems of the automobile.

  1. Explain what EPA, CAFÉ and NHTSA regulations are and how they affect the automotive industry.

  1. Perform basic service and maintenance procedures.

  1. Attain readiness to take automotive safety certifications.
