To prepare students to participate in livestock judging competitions. Consists of lectures and labs that will develop student’s potential in selection of beef, swine, and sheep through login with oral reasoning.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Display skills of judging beef, swine, and sheep.
- Develop market livestock evaluation skills.
- Develop oral reasons and speaking competencies.
- Develop skills of applying performance and genetic information to selection and breeding beef, swine, and sheep.
