Covers the inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of propeller control systems. The removal, installation, and balancing of propellers are also covered.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be expected to:
- Inspect, check, service, and repair prop synch and ice control systems.
- Identify and select propeller lubricants.
- Balance propellers.
- Repair propeller control system components.
- Inspect, check, service, and repair fixed pitch, constant speed systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and remove propellers.
- Repair aluminum alloy prop blades
