Provides techniques for working with pipes and fittings. Studies residential and commercial electrical hot water heating systems, private well water systems and electrical components of plumbing systems.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Describe and demonstrate uses of the following:
- Pipe and fitting installations.
- Leveling instruments.
- Building and plumbing codes.
- Water supply systems.
- Waste disposal systems.
- Think critically and independently analyze, synthesize, and evaluate technical problems and information.
- Identify and interpret health, safety, and welfare standards as dictated by local, state or federal agencies.
