Digital literacy has become increasingly important to the business environment. Technological advances provide opportunities for businesses to survey inclusion of new innovations. This course discusses, identifies, researches, and applies emerging technologies. Discussing new technology and understanding the importance of updating skills is necessary for today’s business operations.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Discuss digital literacy in the increasingly complex business environment.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Internet including ethical and security issues.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of emerging technologies to include terms, concepts, and trends.
- Design, produce, publish, and maintain documents utilizing emerging technology.
- Recognize the types of online communication and demonstrate how business operations utilize the Internet for communication.
- Identify the convergence of computing and mobile communications.
- Assemble original work for inclusion in LinkedIn portfolio.
