Presents advanced computer-aided design topics in architectural design. Utilizes current (UBC) information for project design. Includes all necessary drawings needed for the construction process.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Identify and use architectural symbols to create plans and details.
- Lay out floor plans using application software.
- Lay out foundation plans using application software.
- Develop appropriate detail drawings.
- Construct building elevations and sections according to the plans established.
- Develop a site plan from surveying notes or given site data.
- Generate appropriate schedules for doors, windows, hardware, room finish, etc.
