DESN 220 - 3D Computer-Aided Design PROGRAM: Design Technology CREDIT HOURS MIN: 3 LECTURE HOURS MIN: 2 LAB HOURS MIN: 2 DATE OF LAST REVISION: Fall 2020
This course will focus on 3D CAD features, including fundamentals of three-dimensional modeling for design. Includes overview of modeling, graphical manipulation, part structuring, coordinate system, and developing strategy of modeling.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Understand the similarities and differences between solid modeling and parametric solid modeling. [a,b,c]
- Navigate 3D space. [a,b,e]
- Create and modify 3D models. [a,b,e]
- Create production drawings from 3D models. [a,b,c,e]
- Demonstrate proficiency with 3D Printers by making industry part prints. [a,b,c,e]
