Gives students the opportunity to work at a job site that is specifically related to their career objectives. Provides on-the-job experience while earning credit towards an associate’s degree.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Participate in an interactive learning environment.
- Interview for job placement.
- Write a resume.
- Write a cover letter.
- Apply skills learned into the workplace.
- Gain knowledge of business protocols, ethics, standards, punctuality, courtesy, and appearance.
- Develop vocabulary and language of occupation related to internship.
- Validate technical career decision.
- Participate in technical outcomes (Portfolio).
