HOSP 233 - Techniques of Casino Games: Roulette

This course will help students learn basic principles and fundamental skills for dealing the game of Roulette. It includes chip handling and cutting, call bets, procedures, accuracy and game speed. Requires the development of quick mental multiplication and game speed, and knowledge of all bets and procedures for payoffs. Special attention is paid to managerial aspects of Roulette.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

  1. Distribute casino chips and handle with requisite skill to count denominations and make payoffs.
  2. Demonstrate all procedural aspects of the game of Roulette.
  3. Demonstrate stick calls and procedures.
  4. Perfect well-balanced movement of game with speed and accuracy.
  5. Recite all bet payoffs.
  6. Describe game protection and cheating protection from a dealer’s perspective.
  7. Describe all corresponding paperwork concerning fills, credits, and markers from a dealer’s perspective.
