Assists students in developing critical thinking strategies with academic and workplace applications.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

  1. Apply “brainstorming” and creative thinking techniques.
  2. Identify types of choices and applications.
  3. Demonstrate and apply a broad set of thinking tools.
  4. Identify patterns utilized for the purpose of making predictions.
  5. Discern cause and effect thinking and applications.
  6. Generate and test hypotheses.
  7. Research and determine the relevancy of information applied to a given situation.
  8. Analyze the element of risk when making decisions.
