Etiology and treatment of medical emergencies associated with the nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems are reviewed. The course includes presentation of allergies and anaphylaxis, gastroenterology, toxicology, infectious and communicable diseases, environmental conditions and behavioral and psychiatric disorders.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be expected to demonstrate competency and integrate comprehensive knowledge of National EMS Educational Standards for the following topic areas:
