SPAN 202H - Spanish Level IV (Honors)

1. Speak Spanish with fluency and accurate pronunciation comprehensible to a native speaker to discuss past, present and future events at an advanced intermediate level.
2. Read expanded literary selections about the history, culture, literature, and current events of the Spanish-speaking world and answer questions and express opinions about the reading in Spanish.
3. Demonstrate the ability to research the cultures, history and literature of the Spanish- speaking world.
4. Demonstrate the ability to compose a coherent text of several paragraphs with enough accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary to be understood by a native speaker of Spanish.
5. Demonstrate a broadened cultural understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.
6. Demonstrate critical thinking skills by exposure to complex and interdisciplinary issues in order to expand their current ideas and knowledge; through methods including but not limited to discussion and debate.
7. Participate in continuous learning outside the classroom through service learning.
