This course provides students with the knowledge and practice of utilizing hand tools, equipment and materials needed to perform the duties of laying Autoclave Aerated Concrete (AAC) Block.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Identify and demonstrate the proper use of hand and power tools.
- Recognize the different types and correct use of mortar.
- Operate hand and machine mixing of mortar.
- Identify and demonstrate placement of different types of reinforcement.
- Identify the different sizes, textures and compositions of AAC Block materials.
- Demonstrate proper and safe techniques when unloading and transporting materials to jobsites
