About the Program

Through the Aviation Technology department you will receive the training needed to begin realizing your dreams of a career in Aviation!

Our Flight Certificate program offers students the opportunity to start the journey toward a career as a pilot. Taking your dreams to the next level with Ivy Tech’s Technical Certificate in Aviation Flight Technology - you will follow an FAA approved syllabus based program to become Instrument Rated. After the completion of a Technical Certificate in Aviation Flight Technology, students will have the ability to obtain their Commercial certification through our flight training provider.

Ivy Tech’s Aviation Technology programs prepare students for a career in the cockpit. We focus on the knowledge and skills aviators and industry professionals need to be successful.

Completion guides provide the recommended path to graduation, broken out by 8-week term. Courses are also numbered to show an overall number for students taking fewer classes at a time. Please consult with your advisor to determine which classes are the best option for you to take.
