About the Program

Ivy Tech Medical Imaging Program

To schedule an appointment to take the HESI exam, follow these steps.

The Ivy Tech Medical Imaging Program offers a degree in radiologic technology. A radiographer is a professional who is skilled in the art and science of radiography and is able to apply scientific knowledge, problem-solving techniques, communication, and the use of high tech equipment, while providing quality patient care.

The Associate of Applied Science program includes courses in the following areas: technique, exposure, positioning, protection, physics, patient care and ethics. Clinical practice and supplemental instruction are provided in accredited hospitals and clinics.

The Medical Imaging program is a selective admission program. When you apply to the College, you will be accepted into Healthcare Specialist with a concentration in Medical Imaging while you complete the prerequisite requirements. All applicants are required to take the HESI exam. Click here to schedule the HESI Exam.  The Medical Imaging program accepts a limited number of students each year and there is a separate application process.

Choose your campus of interest below for more information before testing. When you are ready to test, you may make your appointment at https://cass.ivytech.edu/selfserve/

Students who are admitted to the Ivy Tech Medical Imaging program will be required to pay for and submit to a criminal background check, drug testing and physical exam. The details and process will be provided at an orientation. Please contact the program faculty for more detailed information and apply to the College today.

Our Graduates

Graduates of our Medical Imaging program are working in hospitals, clinics, imaging centers and doctor’s offices.

Some of our graduates choose to transfer to a four-year institution using our articulated transfer opportunities available with IUPUI, IUK, and University of Southern Indiana for radiology graduates.

Students are encouraged to review these options with their advisors.
