About the Program
Ivy Tech Human Services Program
The Ivy Tech Human Services program is geared toward helping students develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for the helping professions. Students will spend the majority of their time interacting and doing problem-based activities, case studies and experiences that will prepare them to provide feedback as human services professionals. From the first class, students will participate in job shadowing/volunteer in the community, and all degrees include two internships with direct hands-on learning opportunities.
Throughout the Human Services program, students examine their values and attitudes which reflect in their interactions with others. All students are trained in ethical and theoretical principles, practical skills, and experience the profession. In addition to general skills, specialty training allows a student to explore working with a population such as youth, the elderly, those with intellectual disability or those struggling with addiction.
Take the next step and apply now to Ivy Tech for your career in Human Services.
