About the Program
The Data Analytics program prepares students for a growing field which requires skills in organization, storage, integration, retrieval and analysis of data. Students are trained in database design, systems management, troubleshooting, and business reporting. Students are introduced to the significant tasks required of data analysts. Data structures and the implementation of data security and integrity measures are learned as key components. Students will apply business rules to analyze data, and effectively communicate trends that can be implemented for the business. Businesses need individuals to visualize the wealth of data available in order to make data driven decisions in order to stay on top of market demands.
Our Graduates
Graduates of this program are prepared to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree or enter the workforce directly. The curriculum offers a strong foundation in the fundamental areas of database architecture, administration, analysis and visualization of data to draw conclusions and make data informed decisions. Possible career choices after graduating include data analyst, data mapper and database designer.
