About the Program

The Electronics and Computer Technology program prepares students for a variety of careers in technology, such as computing, networking, communications, process control and automation, robotics, biomedical, energy management, and transportation. The program develops knowledgeable and skilled technicians who implement electronic designs and perform tasks such as collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electronic systems. Students can acquire the associate level Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certification.

Our Graduates

Graduates of the Automation Controls certificate are able to work as a PLC and/or industrial maintenance technician.  Many of our Associate of Applied Science graduates and Technical Certificate graduates are working as automated process technicians, electrical technicians, biomedical equipment technicians and nanotechnology support technicians.

Completion Guides

Completion guides provide the recommended path to graduation, broken out by 8-week term. Courses are also numbered to show an overall number for students taking fewer classes at a time. Please consult with your advisor to determine which classes are the best option for you to take.
