About the Program
Ivy Tech’s Industrial Technology program will provide high quality training and develop skills in the area of Industrial Technology. From welding classes to learning about fluid power systems, the hands-on objectives in this program will have students qualified to enter the workforce. We use only the current and emerging technologies in the industry while training. Our business and industrial partners have helped us for the curriculum to meet the demands of the ever-changing work environment.
We allow our students to get comfortable and train on a variety of machines with lecture time limited to 20% of class time or less. Our students also take math and communications courses tailored exclusively to what our students will need to know when they enter the workforce.
Our Graduates
The Associate of Applied Science degree programs prepare students for careers, career changes and career advancement. They may also prepare students to transfer to four-year institutions. Possible careers for graduates include Welders, Machinist, and Quality Manager at companies such as 80/20 Inc., Mitchel and Scott, and Hostess.

Ivy Tech Community College has several industry partners that provide graduates possible careers upon completion of their accreditation. These careers include Welders, Machinists, and Quality Managers.
Completion Guide:
Completion guides provide the recommended path to graduation, broken out by 8-week term. Courses are also numbered to show an overall number for students taking fewer classes at a time. Please consult with your advisor to determine which classes are the best option for you to take.
