About the Program
Choosing the Homeland Security Public Safety Program allows students the opportunity to explore a career with many facets, all of which are under the umbrella of Homeland Security Public Safety. This profession serves the spectrum of possible employment from the individual, local communities to both state and federal agencies.
Students in this program will study and learn about the various components of Homeland Security and Public Safety, whether it is learning about terrorist threats, emergency response and recovery, or governmental agencies. Students will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for their career of choice.
During your academic journey, students may have the opportunity to encounter potential employers, including, but not limited to:
- Fire Departments
- EMS Agencies
- Law Enforcement Agencies
- Hospitals
- Industrial Safety Departments
- Transportation Security Administration
- Emergency Governmental Officials
This program includes courses that detail the objectives of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Public Safety, Environment Health and Safety, Fire Science and Public Administration.
