About the Program

The Hospitality Administration program provides the skills to be successful in the hospitality industry which is the largest private sector employer in the United States. Those in the program will be receiving hands on training in world class facilities that mirror the professional industry. Students thrive in engaging labs and experiential learning, including customer service skills.

The instruction is modeled after the best practices and principles of some of the most well-known hospitality colleges in America. Our program is a great opportunity to gain industry relevant certifications that strengthen your employment portfolio.

The goal of the program is to offer affordable, quality and flexible educational services that will strengthen Indiana’s economy. It enhances cultural development with courses, certifications, and degree options in: Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Hospitality Management with areas of emphasis in Restaurant Management, Hotel Management, Event Management, and Beverage Management.

Our Graduates

Those that graduate from the program will have the knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry and the ability to begin working above an entry level position. The Associate of Science degree prepares students to transfer to a variety of state universities to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Our Baking & Pastry Arts graduates have been trained according to industry demands and American Culinary Federation Standards for Pastry certification, and work in restaurants, hotels and bakeries, among other businesses.

Our Culinary Arts graduates work as kitchen managers or sauté cooks, sous chefs, and culinary specialists. Ivy Tech’s educational kitchen enables us to offer training for those wishing to excel in the field.

Completion Guides

Completion guides provide the recommended path to graduation, broken out by 8-week term. Courses are also numbered to show an overall number for students taking fewer classes at a time. Please consult with your advisor to determine which classes are the best option for you to take.
