- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in insurance and billing within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) database.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in charting, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in aseptic techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in patient preparation for blood collections.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in routine blood collections and special collection procedures (e.g., peripheral blood smears, blood culture collections, pediatric, throat cultures, and nasal swab).
- Demonstrate knowledge of the role of a patient care tech and demonstrate competency in the skills that fall in the scope of practice of a patient care technician, which include general patient care, patient specimens, phlebotomy, and EKG.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in compliance, safety, and professional responsibility.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in EKG Acquisition and Analysis and Interpretation.
- Demonstrate competency in crafting, organizing, and expressing ideas clearly through the written language, and understanding of use of critical thinking and reading in the writing process.
- Demonstrate competency in appropriate organization to deliver oral messages using logial reasoning, credible, and relevant evidence, and to adapt message for diverse audiences, contexts, and communication channels.
- Demonstrate competency in the interpretation and representation of mathematical forms, and skills to carry out mathematical procedures to solve problems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of major concepts, theoretical perspectives, empirical patterns, or historical contexts within a given social, humanistic, or behavioral domain.
