  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic mechanical principles and concepts that impact the Diesel Heavy Technology industry. 

  • Utilize electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and communication skills to diagnose, repair, test, and return failed components to service. 

  • Describe the hazards associated with mechanical equipment and apply appropriate safety methods for working around heavy truck machinery 

  • Collaborate effectively with others to plan, contribute to, and complete tasks as part of a technical team. 

  • Identify, analyze, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve defined technical problems. 

  • Develop and deliver clear written, oral, and graphical communications in both technical and general contexts; locate and interpret technical documents and standards.
