1. To prepare students to be competent entry-level sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the concentration(s) offered and to prepare students to appropriately use those skills in the profession. The concentrations offered are:
a. Abdominal sonography - Extended sonography
b. Obstetrics and gynecology sonography
c. Adult cardiac sonography
d. Vascular sonography.
e. *Concentrations are separate programs apart from Abdominal Extended and Obstetrics and Gynecology, which are combined in one program.
2. Integrate educational and professional standards of sonography with fair and equitable practices.
3. Present readiness for successful completion of national credentialing examinations in the area(s) of the program of study.
4. Implement continuous lifelong learning with the skills competence, and professionalism of the profession.
5. Achieve gainful employment with a job placement rate in accordance with JRC-DMS standards and regional market availability.
6. Perform as sonographers to the satisfaction of communities of interest, stakeholders, and clinical partners.
