  • Integrate information and psychomotor skills in tasks and challenges within fire science.
  • Combine learned knowledge and problem solving to make decisions during both normal and high intensity operations.
  • Integrate a comprehensive understanding of the principles of fire and combustion, including physical and chemical properties, the process of burning, and the characteristics of various fuels and suppression agents.
  • Design an integrated emergency response plan that aligns firefighting and EMT procedures with homeland security and public safety strategies for managing large-scale or terrorist-related incidents.
  • Combine principles of safety and survival to protect both the public and firefighters. 
  • Adapt knowledge of fire protection systems and hydraulics to relevant situations and demonstrate the ability to implement firefighting methods in incident and emergency management scenarios.
