DEGREE OUTCOMES


The student will perform clinical assessments using patient records and clinical information that support effective patient care of all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. 

The student will perform and manage care in a variety of healthcare settings for  diverse patient populations through the process of planning and organizing various respiratory procedures.  

The student will complete procedures related to, but not limited to airway management, airway clearance, lung expansion, oxygenation, ventilation, and administration of medications and specialty gases.

The student will manage and maintain respiratory care equipment with infection control and quality control procedures. 

The student will apply knowledge to develop, modify, and implement respiratory care plans using procedure results and evidence-based medicine principles. 

 The student will collaborate with interprofessional teams to deliver respiratory care modalities in high-risk or emergency situations performing quality patient care during specialized procedures.
