DEGREE OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Nursing, students will:Demonstrate knowledge of the basic and emerging principles and concepts that impact veterinary medicine. Utilize human and material resources and communication skills to obtain skills and knowledge perform all job duties. Describe the challenges, hazards, and rewards associated with all aspects of animal care. Teamwork - Function effectively as a member of an animal care team. Identify and Solve Problems - Identify, analyze, and solve narrowly defined animal care problems, issues, and challenges. Communication - Apply written, oral, and graphical communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments; identify and use appropriate veterinary medicine human and materials resources. Lifelong learning - Understand the need for, and engagement in, self-directed continuing professional development. Professional/Ethical/Diversity - Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to address professional and ethical responsibilities, including a respect for diversity.
