DEGREE OUTCOMES


1. Understand the distinct nature of occupational therapy as a science and profession and how occupation supports performance, participation, health, wellness, and well-being.  

2. Explain how disease, injuries, and sociocultural factors can impact occupational performance and how occupational therapy helps clients gain functional independence. 

3. Apply knowledge and skills during activity analysis within areas of occupation, performance skills, performance patterns, context, and client factors. 

4. Integrate knowledge, skills, and professionalism with the values and ethical principles of occupational therapy during clinical fieldwork and service-learning experiences. 

5. Develop a complete occupational therapy treatment plan with professional and clinical reasoning skills with collaboration of occupational therapists.  

6. Analyze scientific evidence and experiences from clinical fieldwork with promotion and  advocacy for occupational therapy, including its role in health and wellness promotion and disease and dysfunction prevention.
