Further explores multiple lighting set-ups, studio flash, location lighting, and special effects. Emphasis will be put on conceptualizing the photograph from start to finish.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

  1. Work with multiple lighting set-ups with both continuous and stroboscopic lighting.
  2. Demonstrate ability to control and modify light.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to control the image perspective and focus in a variety of situations.
  4. Photograph products and people with current industry expectations.
  5. Choose the appropriate focal length lens for a given assignment.
  6. Produce photographs that exhibit conceptual thinking ability.
  7. Demonstrate that adequate research has been completed to formulate a pre-visualized end result.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to choose appropriate backgrounds.
  9. Support assignment work with well thought out presentations in critiques.
