This course will introduce students to advanced database administration concepts utilizing Oracle on-premises, hybrid, and cloud databases. The course covers advanced database architecture, performance tuning, high availability, security, disaster recovery, and Oracle-specific database services.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Configure and manage advanced features of Oracle on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure database.
- Optimize database performance using Oracle-specific tools and techniques.
- Implement high availability solutions.
- Configure security features, including Data Encryption and Virtual Private Databases (VPD).
- Implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Automate database administration tasks using scripting tools.
- Implement database auditing to ensure compliance with data regulations.
- Design and implement disaster recovery solutions.
- Manage data migration and integration between on-premises, hybrid, and cloud databases.
