This course covers the second half of NCCER Electrical Level 2. Its modules cover topics such as conductor installations, cable tray, conductor terminations and splices, grounding and bonding, circuit breakers and fuses, control systems and fundamental concepts. The NCCER Electrical Level 2 certificate and wallet card will also be awarded upon successful completion of this course.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon the successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

Discuss the transportation, storage, and setup of cable reels; methods of rigging; and procedures for complete cable pulls in raceways and cable trays.
Examine NEC® installation requirements for cable tray, including cable installations.
Describe methods of terminating and splicing conductors, including preparing and taping conductors.
Explain the purpose of grounding and bonding electrical systems. Investigate NEC® requirements.
Describe fuses and circuit breakers along with their practical applications. Size circuit breakers.
Examine basic descriptions of various types of contactors and relays along with their practical applications.
Attain readiness to take the second half of NCCER Electrical Level 2 certification exams.
