This is an in-depth course that focuses on the performance of chairside skills that are applied in a clinical office situation on live patients. This course will also focus on business office procedures appropriate in the dental office.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

Prepare operatory and patients for visual and restorative procedures.
Assist with visual and restorative procedures on clinical patients.
Perform oral physiotherapy procedures on select clinic patients.
Conduct dental office business procedures using computerized dental software.
Sterilize instruments, disinfect equipment and utilize barriers per OSHA guidelines.
