Examines the virtual world of 2-D and how it can be applied as an illustration and animation element in multimedia. Students explore navigation, modeling, rendering, animation, and camera and lighting techniques.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Develop advanced creative interfaces for use in multimedia projects.
- Integrate the principles of good multimedia design with a strong focus on the aesthetic component including research, brainstorming, and storyboarding.
- Synchronize animation and sound.
- Incorporate various mediums, including sound, images, audio, etc.
- Describe the different roles of a multimedia producer within the industry.
- Analyze the use of multimedia as a marketing tool.
- Appraise and integrate different content and software to achieve one product.
- Use basic programming skills to add functionality to a project.
- Implement usability and functionality testing processes.
