This course introduces students to computer graphics and publication design in visual communications. These skills are developed through work with professional vector-based, and page layout software used in the industry.
MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:
- Navigate within the computer’s operating environment.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the hardware components and peripherals.
- Execute fundamental type formatting and editing.
- Develop the critical basics of effective page layout software operation.
- Utilize illustration tools to manipulate paths and anchor points.
- Recognize graphic file formats and appropriate uses.
